Welcome to the home of the Lewis County Writers Guild. The Guild, fondly known as the LCWG, is a writers’ group in Lewis County, Washington, that seeks to educate, support, and encourage writers in the area. We meet three times a month at The Matrix Coffeehouse in Chehalis. All writers and wannabe writers from the local and surrounding areas are welcome to join us.
For more information on the Guild, check out our About page.
April Meeting: We are hosting a Writers’ Social! Bring a paper, pen, and a friend who loves to write for a fun night of social writing. We will be writing prompts, sharing some of our work, and stretching our creativity while getting to know one another a little better. The meeting is Friday, April 20 at 6:00pm, with a social hour beginning at 5:00pm. Bring cash for some delicious food from our friends at The Matrix!
Our annual novel writing contest has been announced. The grand prize winner will earn a spot at the December 2012 Annual Literary Salon at Seattle Repertory Theater, along with cash prizes. Contest guidelines can be found here.
Don’t forget to check out the series of writing tips available on our blog, and take a stab at fixing the latest in a series of writing blunders on Doyle McKim’s Fix This series.
